Hi Dreamer!

I would like to know more about the dream eternity ring you have. Do you love it? Do you have any problems with it scratching your ering? What size are the stones? Is there anything you hate about it?

So sorry for bombarding you with questions! I am considering getting the dream eternity to go with the truth solitaire I just ordered. My diamond is smaller than yours (.794 ct) and I was considering .03 stones. What do you think?

Thanks!!

As I am sure you know, this is the Dream band: http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/home/ring-details/?product_id=5392 I do not notice it scratches my soitaire, which is similar to the truth solitaire, since the head is recessed. I have ahad no issuesexcept that after about 1 month a stone came loose. I sent it back to BGD and they fixed it for free because it seemed to not be a wear and tear issue. I have had no problems since and I wear it often and have owned it for 8 months now. I like the half eternity. It does spin a little but it is better for an active lifestyle with kids.

In my ring, the diamonds are 5 pointers, but my diamond is 1.2ct. I think that 3 pointers would be great with a .80ct diamond. The only thing that I would suggest is that you have the shank of the truth solitaire customized to be the same height off the finger as the dream band. It is a low as you can get with shared prong, and it is still around 2mm thick. The shank of the truth solitaire is closer to 1.5mm and I notice as height difference with my solitaire, which has a similar shank. The dream band is 2mm thick at the top and between the fingers and tapers to 1.6mm thick. I would see about geting the shank of the solitaire made to the same proportions so it looks like the bands are the same height off the finger when you look down at your hand.

Hi Dreamer,

Thanks for your response! I have 2 small kids but I really love the look of eternity rings. Would you be able to post pictures of the height difference? Does it bother you alot? I''m trying to find the thread to your ring, but can''t find it anymore! Uggh!!!

Here is a close up showing the solitaire and the dream band showing the height difference. This is not the truth solitaire, it is the legato sleek line, but the shanks are similarly low I think. You'd need to ask BGD about he exact thickness as I have been told that the shanks are a little different between the legato and the truth.

Yes, the height difference bothers me a lot. When I reset I will be having a shank that is the same thickness, 2mm, between the fingers.

Thanks for the bump Dreamer!

I didn''t see that you posted a picture! Your rings are so pretty! I adore the look. So classic and timeless.

Honestly though, I don''t think I would''ve noticed the height difference in your rings unless you pointed it out. It made me inspect my rings and I never noticed it until now but the height between my plain wb doesn''t match the height of my current ering. I did bring it up to the vendor when I read your initial post and she said the 2 rings sit nicely together. She said the dream eternity is set very very low. Also, I''m too scared to ask for modifications to the truth solitaire because I love the look so much, I''m afraid making any changes will modify the look.

My dilemma right now is trying to figure out between a full eternity and a half like yours. I''m not sure if you saw the thread I started, but everyone said I abuse my rings, although that sounds like such a harsh word. I do take care of them, and I try to be very gently with my left hand knowing I wear rings on that hand. I also clean my rings almost daily... but I''m trying not to sound defensive. I do appreciate everyone''s honesty.

I''m leaning againist getting the full eternity and just making sure to take them off before I do anything. I never take them off because I''m afraid to lose them. Maybe if I just insure them, I wouldn''t have to worry...

Thanks again for your input on this matter!
