Calling all cushion cut experts for Blue Nile upgrade diamon

I am between two 8 main cushion cut diamonds. The difference in price between each one is significant. I am not sure why the 1.06 stone would be worth so much more. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Blue Nile for a cushion is going to be complicated since they don't provide images of the stones, and cushions are fancy cuts and you can't just go by the numbers. Does it have to be BN for this purchase?

Yes, we are exchanging the diamond we got a few years ago. I am so tempted to go with an ideal round diamond because of the uncertainty of the cushion cut.

Could you order multiple loose cushions to look at in person before deciding which one to set? I would really hesitate to order a fancy cut from a vendor like Blue Nile where they don't show photos (let alone video, or light return images like ASET). A vendor like Good Old Gold, James Allen, or any of the vendors who will work with you individually to source a stone would be far preferable to a drop shipper like Blue Nile.

I would ask for pictures of the cushions you are looking at.
