Hi PSers!

First of all, I'd like to thank all the members who helped me from day 1 with returning my original ring to choosing my diamond.

I also want to say thanks to this site in general, because from reading other member's post, I was able to pick an amazing vendor (Mark from ERD) and pick my setting.

I chose a cushion halo micropave to go with my 1.05 G VS2 RB H&A stone

Here are the renderings I received today...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!

Very nice proportions and quite sleek for a cad.

Looks great.

Are you sure you want pave on the donut? It's gonna scratch your wedding band from heck and back.

Hi Gyspy. Yes I thought of that too. I'm going to ask Mark for his thoughtd also. Thanks!

I think it looks great!!! But I definitely would take the pave off the doughnut. You won't see it anyway with a wedding band on and I wouldn't want to ruin my wedding band.

I agree! 8)

Gorgeous! I especially love the side profile. Those diamonds on the shank that face out are a neat detail.

Edited to add: Oh, from reading the last few I see those are on the doughnut. Makes sense about possible hurting the wedding band. But I still think they look cool ;)

I love it at the donut though. Are you open to wearing it on a different hand so they won't scratch each other?

+1 to no pave on the donut. Save your band from a lifetime of trauma! ;)

Thanks for all your input! I do like the look of it...but many are right in that you won't really see it with the wedding band.
Mark said it shouldn't scratch it...but if I'm concerned he can take it off. I'm going to sleep on it.

I don't think I'd want to wear the band on a different finger! So maybe taking it off is a good idea even though I love it the way it is.

Thanks for your help! Will let you guys know what I decide/show pics when I finally get it!

That looks AWESOME! I'm currently in the process of getting my own halo ring made by ERD so your post makes me super excited.

I agree with everyone else about diamonds on the donut. However, if you really like the look, you could always consider getting a nice 1mm spacer to protect your wedding band?

Otherwise, everything looks amazing. I can't wait to see your finished ring! :appl:

Another option is to get it on only one side, so you can wear that side face out.

wow, this is a CAD? It looks like the real thing! It's beautiful. I'm so glad your situation was able to be fixed, and you now will have a ring to envy!

It is stunning - but scratching your ring is NOT good!

Which part is the doughnut? Sorry - is this the four sticks/struts or the round bit? I assume it is the latter, but good to check.

Would having pave on the struts only still scratch the ring? (What is the proper term for this part - the four sticks/struts?

Appreciate any thoughts on this.

Another in agreement.

It looks great though!

I would not do it only on one side.
1. Ring looks off symmetry
2. You have to be aware of which side to wear it when you need to take it off (cleaning and doing rough work).

I am of a different school of thought ... get the pave on the donut and don't worry. I have diamonds on my donut and on my wedding band - I wear it as a set (they don't touch due to the design of my band). I much rather have a set that I love the look of ... because I do see the pave on the donut all the time! Just my 2 cents as someone who has pave on my the donut of my e-ring and a halo e-ring 2.

I have pave on the donut of one of my rings too and I love it. It's a little surprise that I can see every time I look at it and makes it different from other halo rings.

Ask Mark if he could do a custom spacer that formed around the donuts with the diamonds. I know VC and LM have done the same thing with their rings with paved donuts. That way you can still wear a wedding band.

VC did my ring and at the time many were altering the Emilya with the diamonds on the donut as they wanted wedding bands to wear with theirs. While I do want to wear a wedding band I just thing the ring looks off without the diamonds. At the time I didn't know about the custom spacer so I just have a plain spacer off of etsy that i wear with my diamond eternity band. It doesn't look perfect but I like the look and it would have bothered me if I altered the design.

I love the setting - I'm looking for the same thing!!!! :appl: I don't want to be rude asking about the price, but if you could just give me a round about I would really appreciate it ! also what's the width of the shank and size of melee? I have size 6.5 long finger and anything thats under 2mm just looks teeny tiny on my hand. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!!!

+1 on this - great idea! If not a custom spacer - just a spacer would work well.
