Yesterday I had gotten pictures but the jewelery told me he had sent it back to be revised to better fit his vision and this morning I got the revised ring. He didn't send the top view or the non-angled side view, so I am still waiting for those. I still wanted to come on here and get your opinons of where my reset is going. First picture is of my current ring, second picture is of what he sent last night (posting because this has a top view, for idea) now this changed in that the halo isn't seperate but flows into the shank. You can see this in the last pictuer of the revised ring .. Would love your feedback please...

Are those moons on the side? I like the way the shank sort of has 2 peaks of metal that come together towards the
top of the ring.

Edit - wait, there probably traps right?

Wrong again..haha :Up_to_something: !!! They are actually called Cadi's, similar to below picture. I am thrilled my jeweler found these.

Anyone else?? :?

Looks beautiful! Who's your jeweler?

I like it! I dig the sides and how the halo goes right into the shank!

I can't wait to see the finished product. I love the halo and how it will go around the entire 3 stone. However where the halo meets the shank it looks like it does complete the circle. Was this the look you were going for?

He is a local jeweler that I was referred to. He doesn't have a storefront, he is more a designer/bench jeweler.

sarahbear621, I think we were posting at the same time. Are you looking at the 1st rendering or the 2nd? If were looking at the first rendering this was changed. I don't have the top view of the new one but it didn't change much so I posted it for reference. If you notice in the 2nd rendering the halo actually flows into the shank making the 3-sided pave effect vs. the first picture which seemed to just stop (disconnect). Is that what you are refering too?
I gave the jeweler several pictures of rings that I liked and he came up with this design. I have looked at a few rings where the halo surround all the stones and then the shank meets up with the halo, but I didn't really like those. I wanted more of a fluid line. Please let me know if that was what you were talking about..

I love it... very much looking forward to seeing the final product... and I am LOVING those side stones... drool!

Very unqiue and lovely.

I love the CADs...love the look.

The CADs look great. I also love the sidestones. They will look fab with your Asscher stone. :appl:

I like those cadi's and think they will look great with an asscher! I like that you are sticking to step cuts.

Your CADs look great to me. You've included all the details that I would like. I *really* like that you'll be able to wear any type wedding band with it.

I think it will look beautiful! Ive never seen side stones cut like that before. Are they going to sit exactly flush with your asscher? Im just trying to imagine how that will look. I know it will be amazing, with the angles of the asscher, it may look like a very sparkly unusual shape stone..

cant wait to see it!

It's going to be PERFECT!!! I can't wait to see the finished ring - I love cadi cuts for sidestones, and you hardly ever see them.

Poshpepper: I am really happy with the Cadi's as well. My jeweler measured my asscher from the sides in between the clipped corners and set out to find half moons and traps that matched. When I contacted him he hadn't found halfmoons but told me he had found these really unique stones that he had never seen before. When I went in I looked at both the traps (which were really beautiful) and these Cadi's which measured exact to my stone. I chose the Cadi's, it gives that point like the bullet (lending to the tapered shank) but sized more like a trap. My only complaint is I wish they could be bigger, that of course isn't possible because then my stone would need to be bigger. :wink2:

CharmyPoo: I do want it to be unique and different but I in a drool worthy way, not in that "oh, wow that's..umm.. unique.. haha!

atroop711, Maise, tyty333, gemgirl, Vespergirl: Thank you, I hope the CAD's translate well into the actual casted ring. I think it will be much better when it is set with all the diamonds. I can't wait too! I like wearing wedding bands and with my current setting I had problems, so this was made with that in mind. I see stacking in my future!! :naughty:

sushi: I had never seen these either but when I got home after selecting those I googled Cadi's/Cadillac side stone and came upon a few Tacori setting, some that were posted here. Here is one that was posted on here, the difference is the Cadillacs are against the halo. My stones will be up against my asscher but from what I understand the Cadi's will angle down slightly.

Thanks for the encouragement, it helps confirm that I am heading in the right direction!
