K&M,

I''m predisposed usually to at least know you''ve compared these to AGS0 options...so my only real comment is a question...have you done that?

Otherwise...more questions...

1) You say you''ve located these. Have you selected these among others, or are they the only 3 you could locate?

2) Why is #3 in the running at all? From your point of view.

Thanks and regards,

To be quite frank - none of these. The first two have humongous tables and the last is pretty deep and will face up small for its carat weight. You can do better. Have you read what Dave Atlas has written about princess cuts? He is a regular contributor to this forum and info regarding cut can be found on

stone 1 and 2 are from a shop my sister visits a lot.
stone 3 is a guy I visited today.

You know what''s funny? I just did a search of stone #3 and it''s available on line at a cheaper price! LOL Linky here - SAME EXACT specs. Now I am very skeptical of the guy with stone #3. He quoted me $4100, and it''s available for $3600.

Stone 1 is about $4500 Stone 2 is about $4300.

I have looked at AGS0 Princess cuts, the cost is way more than I am looking for (>1.0 carat, clarity >= VS1, color > G for about $4000-4200)

Got it.

A little smaller than you wanted...but just an idea...

P.S. ignore their cut grade.

hmm... i''m not crazy about any of these by the numbers (i''m not a huge fan of big tables or deep stones) but i obviously cant see them the way you can

is there a rush? since you''ve seen them, do you have a preference amongst the 3 of them? i''m not going to vote but if you post your search criteria, i wld look to see if i cld find something that ''sounds'' better if ya like?

If you want to stay at aound 1 ct you might consider going down in color but getting a fabulous cut. There is a beautiful AGS 0 at Whiteflash in the A-Cut-Above (the best they have) and a few more similar in the Expoert Selection (a hair below ACA but still hand-picked). It the cut is very good you can go down in color and it is not as noticable. If you must stick with E''s nd F''s you''ll have to sacrific cut and then there isn''t mush point in having the high color is the stone doesn''t sparkle and flash.

Keep in mind when looking the table should not be larger than the depth.

PS Sorry I don''t know how to make this a direct link.
