Buying in the next 24 hours: Which of these three?

In The GOG SI1 the inclusions are all located under the table so this one would not be my choice, however I have a keen eye. I like the HP diamond.

You have picked 3 beautiful stones...I would probably save the money and do the HPD.

Other things to consider...
-who has a setting like you want (and whats the cost)
-buy-back or trade up possibilities? Most people say they'll never sell it but 10 years later lots of people like to upgrade.

Cant go wrong with any of them though...

The HP.

Interesting, is there no reason to be concerned with the high blue florescence in the HP stone?

If it doesn't make the stone cloudy at all, it's actually quite cool to have it.

There is only reason to be concerned about fluorescence if you don't like it. There is a perception in the jewelry trade that it is bad (reflected in the lower price), and some people might not like that. I happen to like it, and I would only buy that one if you think she will like the fluorescence. You'll almost never see it except in a nail salon or a night club that has UV lighting.

The GOG stone is the largest of the three, so it has that advantage. In this case, I'd probably go with the largest of the best cut ones, and this would be it.

The WF and GOG stones are both hearts and arrows, so they have that advantage.

The HPD is cheapest and has fluorescence, which is good if you like it.

I would pick HP. It is gorgeous and a great price. I would not be able to see the size difference between the GOG and HP stone and at a 1k difference it is not worth it to me. I would put the 1k towards setting. Also I love me some flourescence!! :appl: Good luck in choosing but definitely come back and tell us which one you pick and in what setting. With my small wallet, I love living large through others.... sharing in the fun!

Based on price + fluorescence, the HPD stone is an easy winner here!

I'd pick the HP one. The size difference isn't that great to warrant a $1k difference.

The stone is less because of fluorescence, size, and it is not being sold as H&A. Those are all good reasons for it to be less. It is a good choice if price is the #1 concern and the recipient likes fluorescence. If cut and size are #1, then the price difference for the GOG stone is entirely acceptable. The WF stone is great, too, of course.

One more thing. Lifetime trade-up at HPD seems to be for Infinity Diamonds, so I would ask if the trade-up policy covers this stone. If not, then that would be another advantage for the GOG and WF stones. If she decides later she doesn't like fluorescence, you want to be sure she could trade it in for another stone.

I really like the HP diamond.

DS has a good point if she will want to upgrade in the future you want to go with a vendor that allows you to do so.

Thanks everyone. Based on a number of factors I chose the Whiteflash stone. I am irrationally attached to the perfect H&A pattern. The setting I was hoping for from Bluenile was on back order. The time frame was not going to work. I went with the classic Tacori three stone from Whiteflash which added more than I was expecting. But excited for her to see it. Thanks again.
