I haven't been on in a while, but now I have to finalize my choice for the ring. I have a little over a month. I want to order the ring once it hits November, and propose mid January.
The ring I want is the 2.1mm Timeless Diamond Solitaire Setting from JamesAllen:

My only issue is I am having trouble deciding yellow gold or white gold.
Here are all my options and issues with each options
The diamond will be a .5-.6 carat, H/I color, SI1 clarity
All yellow gold (as shown on pictures):
-I saw this ring in person and loved how it looked, I didn't have a problem with how it looked being completely yellow. But, the jeweler said that he thought it'd be a good idea to do the head in white gold so it is more secure because he said Yellow Gold is less secure.
-Same as above but with Rhodium plated tips. This option was given to me by someone from JamesAllen. It wouldn't be any more secure, it would be just so the yellow doesn't reflect onto the diamond.
-Would this reflect onto the diamond and make it appear yellow?
Yellow gold with white gold basket
-There would be no way for me to see what this looks like on the ring without me ordering it. I am not opposed to other rings that have that combination, but I would like to see what it looks like on this particular ring.
All white gold
-She doesn't have any white gold jewelery so i am not sure if her skin type is the type that'd cause the need for it to be replated every so often. I wouldn't want her to have a ring that'd be a hassle if her skin type doesn't react well with it.
Unplated white gold
-Wouldn't have to worry about replating it, but haven't seen too much of what it looks like
Would you be very considered about the security of the prongs if it is all yellow gold (whether the tips are plated or not)?
Sorry if I have asked these questions a bunch of times before, but I figure I would start over now and go from here.
Thanks for all the help, hopefully this takes away some worries about it
