Buying a diamond from Steven Kirsch?

So, I love Steven Kirsch's settings and was browsing his site earlier today looking for ideas. Of course, I found myself on the "Diamond Search" page. I did a couple random searches and when the inventory came back, his prices seem really low for the stones. Has anyone here purchased an actual diamond from him? Or know why they seem so inexpensive compared to other vendors? I'm confused!

I may be wrong but it appears that they do not come with certification from a labs such as GIA or AGS and they he does the grading himself. I only reason this because under certification it's listed as 'sertification'...

This doesn't necessarily mean that the stone isn't what he says it is and you could always pay to have it graded by GIA or AGS yourself, but I would be sure to have it independently appraised by a competent appraiser if you intend to pursue a stone that is not certed by one of the large reputable labs.

I didn't even know he sold diamonds. The diamond search isn't working for me .. it could be that it is not fully setup yet and the prices are wrong? No idea.

Talk to him. Ask him for lab graded diamonds and see if he will take pics and video's for you.
