Buying a 2-3 carat eye clean well cut diamond

Thank you so much for everybody especially Gypsy for your time and replies. I have looked at used diamonds , on ebay and on each and every link that you suggested ( diamond bistro, loop troupe,)to purchase a diamond. I am to the point where I think I will just find great specs and order from on of the online vendors... Should I just buy the stone...get it home and inspected and then set or should I just trust that it is what the vendor says it is and do the whole thing at the same time?When I look at the Whiteflash site... they clearly label SI stones as eye clean... if we buy a cut above am I guaranteed that it will be beautiful and sparkly?

I'd also consider having the vender--in this case WF--do the setting. I fully trust WF & have a few items made by WF with ACA's & never a disappointment! All around easier & more convenient, their customer service is excellent FYI.
