Brushed palladium finish for solitaire?

Hi. I''m looking at this setting for my new ring (Knox, bombe tiffany, in palladium):

Do you think a brushed finish would be a good choice? What kind of visual effect does brushing have on how the diamond is perceived (meaning larger? smaller? brighter? anything?)

Keep in mind that a brushed finish will not last forever. It will scratch and wear just like a polished finish.

A brushed background can give a good contrast to a shiny stone. This can be exemplified with an "excellent" polish grade on a diamond.

Consult a LOCAL jeweler for this service. This way, it can be put on while you wait and if you really dont like it, he/she can take it off/high polish it.
