Is their any POSSIBLE way that a diamond- American Iceal Cut 1A(All requirements rated 1A), scores a .5 on the HCA, could perform poorly on a brilliance scope. The report given by Good Old Gold for example.

Just Wondering about my diamond''s performance under different lighting conditions.

Please offer your thoughts and/or opinions.

To me, it might not necessarily perform VH,VH,VH but I would imagine it would get pretty respectful results!?!?!?

Yes, there is.

Both HCA and the AGA-chart look at the same partial information of a diamond. Generally, this is the most important information, and chances are high that this stone will have great light performance, but it is possible that it does not.

Two possible causes could be:

1. the average proportions are great, but because of big deviations in the same range of facets, the light performance might be less,

2. the 40 other facets are cut in such a way, that light performance goes down.

This does not mean that you should put your hope on the Brilliancescope only. It is a machine, of which the operation is not entirely clear, although it seems to give good information.

After re-reading your post, it seems that you are talking about a diamond that you already have. In that case, use your own brilliancescope: your eyes.

Live long,

On the other hand,

Sage advice. For that matter, BS results can be inconsistent, but your eyes will ne'er err.

I agree I should use my eyes but I just have a lack of experience and comparison. I don't want to go around asking everyone to look at their ring because then obviously they know what is coming soon. So far, Only two people know. And one lives 1000 miles away.

I was just trying to get an expert opinion on how you think my diamond would perform on a brilliance scope.

You'd need to have a BS done. Mine was unfreaking real. But I didn't need the machine to tell me it was sparkly and bright.
