The overall proportions are what drive the light return of a diamond, in particular the crown and pavilion angles, but it is everything working together which results in a beautiful diamond. Symmetry and polish are the details of finish and usually with a top cut diamond both symmetry and polish are of very high standards as a by product of the craftmanship and attention to detail.Date: 8/12/2009 5:24:22 AM

is it the cut quality? the symetry? the polish? or just our eyes....![]()
It is the cut quality. Of course, it is our eyes that perceive that brightness and fire, and our tastes that that perceive whether or not we like a given cut.Date: 8/12/2009 5:24:22 AM
