Hello all!
First up, I just discovered these forums about two weeks ago in my quest to find a better setting for my .50 rbc solitaire.
I was blown away at the knowledge that you guys possess! But, I didn''t find an exact answer to my question, as I felt like I was searching for a needle in a haystack... but I did find a setting I loved while looking at the pictures on this board: the fishtail.
So my question is: Is the fishtail a good setting for bringing more "presence" to my stone? I couldn''t find any pictures of a half carat stone in this setting - the ones I saw were around 1 carat. So, I wasn''t sure if this setting would overwhelm my stone or compliment it. I would love to hear your opinions on this - because ideally, I want to have my ring set once more (it''s in a 6 prong now) and then leave it alone.
If it helps, my set is in yellow gold.
Thank you!
