They both broke in the time frame difference from when I bought them too.

Wondering what brand to get now...

Sorry that happened!!!

I am on my second Magnasonic. It works great and hubby put an electrical outlet inside a kitchen cabinet so it is always tucked away. Small appliances don't last forever - I think of them like a hairdryer. I liked the performance though so bought another.

Ideally, I’d like to get one with a steamer but they are kind of large. If I cwnt find a smaller size with a steamer, i’ll Just get 2 more of these. My second house has no counter space so the magnasonic was a good size for there.

The large ones are nice but I didn't want anything to sit out on the counter. This one does a good job so it works for me!

You just reminded me though that I have an outlet in one of my cabinets :appl:

So I think I can go a combo for here and another magna for the other house...

Oh no! I bought a Magnasonic a few weeks ago on @PintoBean and your recommendations. Maybe I should have gone with a better quality (more expensive) model. I have a steamer, but it it is pretty large and kind of a pain to use. What do you consider compulsive @whitewave? I maybe as well! :confused2:

Don't know about whitewave but I use mine just about every day. The last one lasted a few years so hopefully you'll get the same!

Everyday for maybe 12 minute cycles and rinses lol

Thank you @MissGotRocks! If mine can last a year or two then it’s a very economical unit!

@whitewave haha! Yeah, 12 minute cycle may explain the burn out! :oops2: But I’m getting pretty addicted to this thing! It’s so easy and convenient to use and my diamonds sparkle so nice. I’ll be interested to see what you replace yours with.

I TOLD you. Baby toothbrush and dawn dish soap!

I've considered buying an ultrasonic, but after hearing stories like this, and reading reviews on Amazon, It sounds like they don't last.
Like @soxfan says, Dawn dishsoap and toothbrush!

I have found the ultrasonic to be vastly superior to Dawn and a toothbrush to be honest.

I really like my ultrasonic, but it's a relatively inexpensive one from Amazon. It's lasted a few years now, but I certainly don't use it as much as I should (once a week, max), and it doesn't have many fancy options. Just "on" and "off", each cycle is about 3 min. The directions say to run it twice if pieces really need it.

I have this one and use it with "blitz" liquid.

I use mine every day. Its the only thing that gets my invisalign sparkling clean. I start with a 480 sec cycle with dish soap. Dump out then a 180 sec cycle. Sometimes a third cycle if I remember.

This is what I do too! I was hoping it’s ok to use Dawn in it. I also set it for 480 seconds and then 180 seconds for the rinse cycle. How long have you had yours Pinto?

I dont remember from a little before I first recommended it lolol.

Mine stopped working within a year, it was a similar one from Amazon. Was great at cleaning silver especially, I'd like to get another one but I know the same thing will happen :/ toothbrush and dish soap seems to work just as well for the ering tho :Up_to_something2:

I told you ladies a 100X to buy made in the USA or Europe instead of those cheap Chinese made ones which will only last a couple of yrs. Buy a high quality US and it'll last forever. Think I paid like $150 for this 1.5 QT heated model.

@Dancing Fire thank God I'm made in America. :lol-2:

A toothbrush will never be able to clean the pavilion area like an US.

The US made my pave light up like a runway at night. Or like the Christmas vacation house lol.

@Dancing Fire what is the solution you use?
When my Magnasonic craps out this is what I’m buying. It looks pretty much bulletproof!

The unit @Dancing Fire has is a commercial grade ultrasonic. GemOro also makes consumer grade ultrasonics which do not have the same quality engineering behind them. If you're wanting to purchase a similar unit be sure to look for the commercial grade ultrasonic. GemOro 1.5PT Next-Gen Ultrasonic is the current commercial grade model. You can find it easily for $135-$150.
