I just have to say that e/t I''m not a huge Bo fan...I just saw him sing with Leonard Skynard and his HUGE smile was just touching. he was so genuine and so thrilled. He couldn''t contain how happy and honored he was...It made me smile. I almost hope he wins now LOL

very disappointing results. I was hoping I wouldnt have to hear her screeching when I turn on the radio but I guess we are stuck now!

I think I am done watching AI. I do believe it was fixed from the get-go. All the polls showed Bo was the #1 choice of America, but he loses. hmmm. oh well.

I wish Bo the best in his career though! He's probably better off so he's not recording pop type fluff songs fit for people like Hilary Duff! lol
 
I think the thing to rememeber is that BOTH Bo and CARRIE were awesome. BOTH of them are going to get a record deal out of it!! Besides, for the type of music that BO is doing, ainning AI would have been horrible for him. HE is going to be able to do what he wants and not be confined my AI contracts like Carrie is. From what I gather, those contracts are horrible. I think I remember hearing about how stringent they were when Kelly Clarkson won. SHe was not able to really take off or do well until she was finished with the ''contract'' that she had won from AI. They both succeeded and both won.. IMO

i like Carrie and thinks she is very cute I just think Bo was the better performer. My hubby won''t watch the show and everytime I made him listen to Carrie she went noticably out of tune

Anyway. didn''t Clay end up selling more records than Rueben? AI owns both of them for quite some time and will produce both of their records.
 
Although I was disappointed a little that Bo did not win, I really don''t think it will matter much. I see Bo hooking up with Clive Davis and producing some great music. His life is never going to be the same. I also see him as as a group/band musician, not as much a soloist. Carrie is much more the soloist. She''s got a tremendous future ahead of her as well. I wonder how the contract with AI would differ whether you came in 1st or 2nd or 3rd for that matter? I know they are all under contract to some degree for a period of time.

I think Bo will become Leonard Synard. They have missed a leading singer since the plane crash.

I thought Bo''s rendition of Sweet Home Alabama was perfect. He fits in so well. Maybe Lynyrd Skynyrd will invite him to join the band. I know that Johnny Van Zant has been the singer since his brother died but I think Bo is better!

Carrie really needs to work on stage presence. Booo-rring. I wasn''t surprised that she won.

we were so happy to see Carrie win, but surprised...thought Bo was the front-runner from all the psycho chick fans...hee hee.

either way he will do well, and as someone pointed out, AI does pidgeonhole you for a few years...I never would have listened to Kelly Clarkson fresh out of AI but now she seems to have come into her own and actually a bunch of my friends listen to her songs (and yes i downloaded the cd

i think this will do the same for Carrie, she needs some serious stage presence lessions. Swaying the hips and stomping the foot is not stage presence Carrie!!

we voted 7 times for C on Tues night, figured why not, so I'm CONVINCED it was our votes out of the 45million that got her into the winning spot. HAH!

just really was not into Bo and thought she had the better 'techincal' voice that could really be very impressive after a bit of training.

have to say though, 2hours for THAT? we were never feeling so happy to have Tivo as last nite with all the season finales back to back on our fave shows (still haven't seen Lost so we don't know what happened yet!) and the stretched out AI season finale...where is the nice 30 minute 'you're the winner' show.

oh but we LOVED the spoof they did on simon that was like the paula affair, we were laughing hysterically at that one.
 
The AI skits are usually really dumb, but I was really laughing at those tiny little T-Shirts. Very cute....

Fire & Ice- I TOTALLY agree. They seemed to really like him and they had a really good sound...a real Ronnie V.Z. feel....

I would LOVE to know how much the other top finishers like Bo are restricted by the AI contracts. But I guess even if it is a totally one sided contract, that's more than Bo had back at home!

p.s. Carrie SO has the better voice! All along I didn't think Bo could really sing...but I see now that most of that had to do with the genres

and MY GOD do the AI songs suck this year
 
just for the record, it''s lYnYrd skYnYrd. They use the letter "Y" a lot.

I liked Bo better, but that''s cuz he''s better technically. He''s also a better stage performer. I didn''t think he did that well singing with Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was singing half a beat slower than the band was playing. But he looked deririously happy doing so tho. That was great to see.

I think Carrie''s voice is better tho. Quite a bit better actually. She just doesn''t know how to use it. But that can be changed with a good voice coach and a lotta practice. That poor Rascal Flatts singer had to keep working to try and match the noises coming out of her so their duet would blend in better. He didn''t sound like he normally does.

I thought the exact same thing--LS should totally hire Bo to tour with them--he was PERFECT with them, and his awe and excitement at performing w/ them was ADORABLE. I was surprised--thought he''d win, but I''m actually glad at the outcome b/c I think he needs it less: Carrie will get a career boost from winning, whereas Bo was going to do well in his genre either way--and this way he won''t be too reigned in by the AI machine.

I liked Anwar and Anthony together better than I had liked either separately--they should really team up and be the new Hall & Oates

I personally thought the best voice came out of Jessica, who was voted off very early and I was shocked by that. I am surprised America didnt realize that.
 
I liked Jessica, I just didn''t think she picked the right songs for her husky voice...however, my fav was Constantine lol much to my DH''s dismay
