BN Diamond studs & H&A - help pls!

Hello everyone! I’m new to this forum and would really appreciate your thoughts on these 2 diamonds as a pair for studs:

HCA scores are 1.2 and 1.6 respectively

I can’t see very clean H & As especially the first link but I not sure if it’s just a BN imagery angle issue. I also rejected other diamonds which looked ok from the vids but score above 3 HCAs. Is H&A important for Brilliance and fire? Or would high HCA score help with that more?

Also any thoughts on J colour for 0.9 ct each studs? Too yellow? Will J colour stones hold value?

Just want to make sure i making a good buy total is $7.5k usd

I don’t think the first link has 2 diamonds listed, the second link I am not of fan if diamond #2

How about these? Lower carat weight but good spreads at 6x6, I think it’s a better deal $ wise. Unless you want the specific carat weight

H&A is a measure of optical symmetry (as well as meticulous planning when cutting a stone). A well cut stone that exhibits optical symmetry will have a large number of virtual facets that will help with brilliance and scintillation. Proportions in terms of crown and pavilion angles as well as table size and lower girdle facet percentage will determine the “personality” of a diamond. Stones with good proportions will generally be under 2 on HCA. However, if you have stones graded by AGS for light performance, that usually trumps HCA.

Thanks guys very helpful and good suggestion on the alternative..: definately will consider although I wouldn’t mind more on 0.9 side if price is ok and diamond is good.

I forgot to say that when I input the stats for HCA I put in that they were AGS ideal although they are Gia ideals.

Also the 2 links will be the pair so disregard the second diamond on the second link. What do you think about them?

Not all GIA triple excellent stones fall within AGS0 (Ideal) proportions. You want one that fits within both GIA Excellent and AGS Ideal proportions.

I will be pairing the first link diamond and diamond #1 from second link. So disregard diamond #2 in second link.

Any thoughts on the first link diamond(https://www.bluenile.com/hk/diamond...MONDS&track=viewDiamondDetails&action=sameTab)? These are the specs:

0.9 VS1 J colour (for earrings)
Dim: 6.12 x 6.16 x 3.85
Depth: 62.7
Table: 56
Crown:36
Pavilion: 40.6
HCA: 1.7 (Excellent fire and light. Very good Scintillation and spread)

Also between Light, fire, scintillation, what's most important for sparkle? The 2 I have narrowed down within budget only show excellent fire and light but only very good Scintillation. I wasn't able to find anything strictly with in PS recommended ranges for depth/table/crown/pavilion!

FWIW, the second diamond (GIA 5293769713) has been banging around for a while. I know this because I considered it for my recent stud earring project. It is actually offered withclarity.com (see link below) for $3,199 USD (vs. $3,471 USD on BN) and the price has been dropping for weeks. It has an old certificated (dated July 10, 2018 ) and it may not be eye clean with that dark inclusion on the table & reflecting around. It also appears to have a pretty significant inclusion along the girdle between (around the 8:00 area in the BN video, but shows more clearly around the 1:00 area in the withclarity.com video linked below) that caused me concern regarding durability. I am no expert, but I happened to find something else that worked for me and passed on this particular diamond. It was also priced higher when I was looking. That said, it may be perfectly suitable for this project and the experts may have a different opinion of it. GL!

Could you help me decide between these two to pair with the one above:

Diamond #2 is the original one I have on hold. I just read recently that steep depth 62.7 could be a problem. Should I be worried about this? Is it just a matter of affecting the spread or anything else? The spread based on HcA is very good.

Diamond #3 i just found as an option. It’s more expensive and it’s 59 table 59.5 depth better spread. VS2 I colour 0.9 carat. Can it match diamond #1?
