I recently found my bluenile platinum diamond wedding band is magnetic by accident.
I have bought many jewelries from the jeweler, and I was happy with them. But the magnetic feature of the platinum ring shocked me. My other platinum jewelries do not have the feature, including 2 other rings from Bluenile.
So I made a call to Bluenile this morning. First, they said their platinum is non-magnetic. When I told them about the ring, they hesitated, and said they need to analyze it, and asked me to send it back. I asked if they would issue a refund. They said they didn't know because the ring passed the returning period. And they claimed that their platinum is 950.
No matter if the ring is platinum 950 or not, I believe Bluenile should have disclose the information. Because I won't buy a magnetic ring. I feel to be cheated. Especially, this is an online purchase. I have no way to know if it is magnetic unless they tell me so. Not like a local jewelry store, I can find it out immediately with a magnet.
Any thoughts?
