Hi everyone. I am very excited to announce the arrival of my new vintage blue zircon pin. I think the white stones are white zircon but I’m not sure. It’s in really good condition and is heavy 18k gold (unmarked but tested). I wish jewelers were open so I can verify all of that but I’m going to have to trust the seller and my own eyes. It came from the UK. 239685CF-4B8F-4BC2-A965-7210B192057F.jpeg 1F4217DB-EE57-4E7C-B577-B86C015404F2.jpeg 3BDC9E18-3D08-40F9-933C-4440C520E3E6.jpeg 8635124F-4C10-409C-9B27-B594D5A297B8.jpeg 690F580A-ADA2-4DA5-95A5-CEE3B6DE394C.jpeg I cleaned it up and it started to really sparkle!

I’m thinking of converting it to a bracelet.

Thoughts and opinions welcome! 13281FAC-A509-426F-B7EA-121E69941CBD.jpeg

I can’t get over how sparkly it is! I recently discovered zircons so I’m smitten. Here’s a ‘bracelet’ photo.

Pretty! Fragile stones so maybe not the best for a bracelet. And the metalwork is so "tall" -- ribbon-like (barely visible in cross-section but pretty generous when viewed from the side) -- that I'm not sure how you'd radius that for a curved bangle. I guess you could nip triangle-shaped bites out of the bars between the white zircons...?

Thanks. I was thinking of a chain type bracelet so I could leave it flat. It’s not too tall luckily once all the pin parts are removed. I know it’s a fragile stone but maybe I can be careful?

But the other thing I could do is use just the middle part with the 3 stones to make a pendant maybe....

It’s really pretty as it is though. I wish I could wear a pin but I don’t see that happening.

Maybe turn the "keep" (or whatever the pin "receiver" is called) into a bail and wear it vertically as a pendant? Spouse did this with a vintage bar pin and it worked out great.

Oh, it‘s beautiful! Best to check with the jeweller once open again! I can see it as a bracelet, maybe just not for everyday wear because of it‘s delicacy.

I already posted a response in your other thread but just want to say again how lovely this is.

It is lovely! Are the side stones white zircon too?

I don't actually know what the white stones are because the seller listed it as blue zircon and "paste". They looked like something real to me so I asked her if they could be white zircon. She said her daughter is more of a stone expert and agreed they could be white zircon. They do sparkle a lot - they are a bit cloudier than diamonds and I can't quite tell if there is doubling in them or not but maybe.
