I hope this is the right place to ask this question, but I am looking for a website that might be recommended for blue topaz. I'm getting married soon and found a lot of help on the wedding and bridesmaid front regarding pearls here, so I figured I'd start researching her first birthday present too. Her birthday is December so I am thinking blue topaz, something not too gaudy but still fit for our first birthday married. Thanks in advance.

AWWWWWW, how nice is that?

Here's some that Dana at Master Cut Gems has, but I think they're all either sold or too big for you. I think in one of the descriptions he said he has some more rough and he can cut you something custom. You can see his prices are very reasonable. As him for a "calibrated" cut, since it will fit a standard setting.

Gemfix has topaz, but not in blue :http://www.gemfix.com/topaz.html

Art Cut has some in blue, just search topaz on his site: http://www.artcutgems.com He also has a nice ring, that frankly, I don't think you could reproduce for the price he has it listed for. But it is a concave cut, which is very dramatic and the 9mm stone is large. It's a drama piece ; http://www.artcutgems.com/item.php?item_id=299

Most of the custom cutters don't do a lot of blue topaz, because there's a lot of it out in the marketplace. But a custom cut stone would be really special, so it would be worth asking the cutters.

I would like to suggest Bespoke. The owner Doug Menadue not only cuts a beautiful blue topaz, he also mines it himself. Which is great if you are sensitive about the area of the world your gems come from. The stone would definitely be heirloom quality. The prices are in Australian dollars so you have to convert. He will cut you whatever you want. :)
