Blue Sapphire E-Ring help

Truthstar,
What do you mean by "too transparent"?
Are you the intended wearer or will this be for someone else? I ask because channel set fell out of vogue several years ago.

Stone 1 looks lovely
Stone too looks overly dark in tone.

Thanks Chrono,

It'll be for my fiance :) Whats in style these days other than channel set?

By transparent I mean too washed out ie; if in Sun light would it loose color or seem grey. Its a lighter tone than others I've seen. I realize colored stones are all personal taste but I'm keeping in mind what is desirable in the market by the pros. Which would be a higher quality gem Stone 1 or :

Shared prong and pave are very popular these days; they look less metal-heavy. The link below will take you to a section of the forum where most have posted pictures of their rings.

Sapphire love sunlight; when they tend to wash out or appear gray is under indoor fluorescent lighting. Unfortunately, it is difficult to predict on a stone by stone basis, so I would ask Andrew since both sapphires are his. Both the cushion and oval look medium dark in tone on my monitor. The difference I see between the two stones are likely saturation and brightness. My preference is the oval, based on the pictures alone.

Thanks again. Can we PM by chance? Have some unique finds

PS does not have a PM function but I see that you've started a new thread on one of your finds.
