I'm not sure who is Jewish here, my bestie when I was a little girl was Jewish, we shared Christmas and Hanukkah as we were little girls who were 8 and we knew MORE than most people today. We had love and happiness and got along great and our eyes OPENED to another group and their holiday, too bad Sharon and I did not rule the world. Listen to the candles, they talk and they teach us.. Happy Hanukkah to everyone, it's OUR holiday.

Thank you tekate! Happy Chanukah and a Merry Christmas to all of us, whichever holiday you observe. May we have a year of peace.

Not your Sharon, but yours in peace and contentment.:wavey: Today and throughout the year.

cheers--Sharon

Hanukkah blessings to all!!!

We used to celebrate Chanukah every year when my daughter and her cousins were younger. I miss doing so. My husband used to fry the latkes for a meal although my cousin's wife always did the actual grating of the potatoes for them!

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to everyone and every fur baby.

Happy Hanukkah! I'm so happy to learn fur babes are able to celebrate as well:clap::love:

(My maternal grandfather was Jewish. I don't know much about Judaism, and don't celebrate religious holidays. But in my grandpa's memory, I started researching his family line).

I wish to congratulate everyone who celebrates Chanukah with this sweet holiday. Wish all the best.
If anyone who celebrates has roots in imperial Russia or Galicia- I have Beider's dictionaries of the meanings and origins of all Jewish last names from these areas. So if anyone is interested in any specific names, I can look them up!
