anyone remember this? I was trying to describe it to my husband for years and he doesn't recognize it...

    What a hoot!!!! That was great! Now I'm motivated to go and see if I can find another good to add to the nostalgia pile. Thanks, Cera!!

LOL that was funny, gosh I havent heard some of those songs in years and I knew EVERY one of them :wink2:

OMG - Cehra, thanks so much for posting that. I remember that song so well. Wasn't there another similar compilation song along the same lines shortly thereafter? I'll have to think hard to try to remember buy my memory isn't what it used to be

For some crazy reason this past week I've introduced my 4 yeard DD to Tony Orlando's 'Knock three times on the ceiling if you want me .....", as well as "Hi, hi, hi beautiful Sunday, this is my, my, my beautiful day ...." (cannot recall the artists name) .... I love the 70s !!!! Oh my gosh, I remember what triggered my walk down memory lane. In an earlier thread about songs that make you cry Kaleigh mentioned "Seasons in the Sun", it had been so long since I heard it that I went on YouTube to listen and then I needed to hear songs to cheer me up ......

ROFLMAO!

OMG the record player. I haven't seen one in yrs.

Sadly, I remember almost all of those songs!

I am also in that mindset.
It's great that young kids are totally open to music. By the time they are teens they usually think the stuff we like to old folks music
My 2 year old seems to love things like "Mack the knife"- which is going back even further!

Daniel Boone.

All the kids in my neighborhood thought this was a scream; we all had it memorized. The parents just rolled their eyes.

This song and Disco Duck are kind of stuck together in my head.

After finding this song I tried to find this other song I loved as a child and could not find it anywhere - quickly realized it was NOT kc and the sunshine band who sung it and it took me about 2 hours but I tracked down the artist on facebook and he emailed me an mp3 of that old song :) How cool is that??? We're talking OBSCURE. Turns out it was just a song on an album put out by a local radio station (kgb) as a fundraiser and they got entries for songs about San Diego on a series of albums... seriously obscure.

Funny thing is, I remember in 96 when my husband and I had to search for over 2 hours just to get a copy of the poem written on the statue of liberty lol Boy, the internet world has gotten smaller! there was only ONE reference to that song on the entire internet based on lyrics and they weren't complete nor correct. But it led me to another hint which led to yet another....
