Blackberry or Palm?

I just interviewed for a NICU position and we are allowed to have PDA devices for quick look up/Neofax (a drug guide they use). I would mostly be using it for storing programs, but I don''t want to carry a cell phone and a separate PDA so it makes sense to combine programs. I definitely don''t want anything Windows-based, I''d go with a Palm, but I''m also hearing good things about Blackberry. Are they as user friendly as a Palm/Treo? Can you download as much data? Are there as many programs available for Blackberry as Palm? If you''re familiar with Verizon I''m stuck between the Palm Centro and the Blackberry Storm. Thanks in advance.

I recently did a lot of research on smartphones. I didn''t go with either the Palm or the Blackberry, but I can tell you that reviews tend to agree that both the Palm Centro and Blackberry Storm are garbage. I went to tens, if not hundreds, of review sites. I did, though, read tons of great things about the Blackberry Bold. If you must decide between these two (Palm vs. Blackberry) per your provider, I would either go with the Bold or wait for a better Palm to come out.

i agree the Storm is garbage.

I have the BB curve and I love it! Best phone ever.

Prior to it I had the Motorola Q and I had to exchange it 4 times and it still gave me trouble (low battery life mainly).

Not sure how much data it can store. I mostly just talk, text and email.

i''d avoid the centro - it sucks IMO. i have a treo and LOVE it! i''m also medical, and have my PDR, 5 min consult, harriet lane, etc all on it with no problems to date.

I had the centro...for work...and I didn''t like it. I much prefer a Blackberry.

mommy2iz, what carrier do you have? i just looked at verizon, sprint and at&t today and the only carrier that had a treo was sprint. i tested the centro today and hated it, that''s definitely out. unless i switch to sprint it looks like blackberry is the only option.

The centro is poop. The Storm isn''t too much better. Are you stuck on Verizon? The Blackberry Bold or Curve would be a better bet.
