What did he do?
Mer, that''s my first reaction too. The articles that I''ve read so far have been very vague. I did find a better link, though. That article indicates that this is the SECOND time in less than a year that he''s been accused of sexual assault. I don''t know . . .Date: 3/9/2010 3:47:41 PM

I''m going with no, since it doesn''t even specify what he ''did'' to her.
El, DH and I are big Steelers fans, so this is very disappointing to us. I actually heard about this yesterday afternoon at my doctor''s appointment. The TV in the waiting room was showing some sort of press conference about it. I didn''t realize that he''d been accused of this once before either!Date: 3/9/2010 3:51:17 PM

I was afraid your post was about him (I''m from Pgh). Surprised my dad didn''t send me an email about this already.
From that article, there doesn''t seem to be any convincing evidence that he''s guilty. I''ll withold judgement until there''s more info.
Exactly! If he''s truly innocent of the charges, that''s great. But, he needs to realize that he''s a public figure and that makes him a target. He should be more careful.Date: 3/9/2010 3:55:13 PM

Honestly, I''m not sure if he''s guilty or not. I tend to think that he isn''t, only because I just can''t believe he is that sort of person. I''m a hardcore steeler fan and they really tend to look at a player''s character before drafting them...
That having been said, I think he''s an absolute moron for allowing himself to get into that situation again. He is 28 years old. Perhaps a bit too old for hanging around with 20 year old college students.
I think big ben needs to do some self-reflecting and start acting like an adult. I don''t think the Rooneys will keep him around if he keeps up with these poor choices.
I hadn''t heard anything about this story, or the previous accusation (what came of it?), but what you said, Irishgrrrl, rang true with me. I also feel like a celebrity is an easier target if he/she has already previously been accused of the same, or a similar, offense, KWIM?Date: 3/9/2010 3:57:49 PM

I''m torn. On the one hand, I''d like to think that no one would falsely accuse someone of a crime this serious, but I know it does happen (especially to celebrities), so he very well could be innocent. On the other hand, if he really did this to one or both of these ladies, he''s absolutely disgusting.![]()
LOL! Sorry for the confusion, Steal!
Yes, exactly. I hope this isn''t a case of someone preying on his celebrity, in the hope of getting some kind of monetary settlement. But, in a way, I hope that''s exactly what this is, since the alternative is that he''s a disgusting a$$hole.Date: 3/9/2010 4:06:19 PM
