bf is going to buy x-factor diamond. what kind of setting do you think would be fabulous. i think it might be under a carat, not sure. maybe over 0.92, but under a carat, due to budget, already over by 116 dollars. want something that will set up high to make it look larger, but would like very thin band. also don''t want bf to look mad and upset when he sees price. thanks to all who respond in advance...!

Ohhh- how exciting!!! How about setting your lovely stone into the Ritani Endless Love setting? Sounds like exactly what you want...thin band, pave, stone is set up high enough for a w-band to sit flush, etc.

Here is a pic of that setting (with a princess stone). You can contact Bill Pearlman at Pearlman's jewelers...he is so sweet and will totally help you get your hands on it...

Good luck!!

that''s pretty, i''ll check it out. thank you very much

If you want inexpensive however, the endless love setting is not it. Retails for $2400 (bit less in white gold) although it can be gotten for a lot less if you find the right vendor and can haggle.

How about Whiteflash''s rings? They have a lot of nice settings that aren''t too expensive.

I agree with DS that the Legato would be a better choice if your on a budget. WF makes a very nice product and I think it would just be easier to get the whole thing from one place.

If your budget can handle it, I''d definitely get the ritani. It''s so delicate and pretty, and executed really well. I think it would only be about $1800 in WG. However, the legato by WF is also very pretty and a lot less expensive if the budget can''t handle the ritani setting.

I would get the WF Legato to save money and it would be easier to get the diamond and setting from the same place. The Legato setting is so pretty! Plus the width is 2mm so your diamond would stand out.

Yes, I''d definitely go with a WF setting for the better value and ease of having the stone set.

I love the Legato:

The legato with micropave is really popular, but I prefer it without the pave, in the "sleek lines" setting. So feminine and classy! I always imagined this setting with a 1ct princess!
