So this afternoon I've had the show "My Fair Wedding" on while doing things around the house. WE channel must be going a marathon. There just was a scene where the wedding planner takes the bride to look at rings (hers was a fake, so the show is replacing it, how nice!)
anyway, they go to a fairly well known store in NYC, who showed them three lovely rings: a solitaire, a halo and a three stone, all with pave shanks. The bride liked the halo the best, but color me surprised when the saleswoman describes it as a bezel. I could clearly see the prongs.
I really thought that a term like bezel was standard in the jewelry business, is it not?
For the record, the store is not one we see often, if at all, here on PS.
