Hello everyone, i have come across this board while doing a search for a wedding band for my fiance. i have to say everyone seams very educated about their jewelry. Hope you can help me. My fiance saw a Beverly K wedding band and has fell in love with it. However it''s over 2K and we just can''t afford it. I want to surprise her with something of a similar style. Can anyone recommend other designers who are less expensive or any kind of input would be appreciated. Here is the bands she loves .. thanks so much

I hate to say it, but BK is pretty cheap, if not THE cheapest, for workmanship-intensive jewelry like that. A lot of the new but antique style stuff isn''t expensive so much because of the materials, but because of the labor. To be honest, I really doubt you''ll find a well made (or even mediocrely made) NEW eternity band like that for significantly less.

I''d recommend looking for an actual antique piece- that''s probably your only hope. Check local antique shops with estate jewelry, and even eBay IMHO- but definitely go with an established seller with good feedback and a return policy if you go eBay. The style you''re looking for is something that was fairly popular in the 1900s-1920s, it''s a pierced eternity band with engraving and millgrain. A lot of the antique ones will have wonderful workmanship but smaller sizes, so I hope she''s small fingered! Often the antique ones have more metal and less diamond than you''d see today typically, but I''ve seen some lovely ones. (I''ve drooled over one for years myself, but the style just looks awful on my hand for some reason- stubby fingers I guess.)

I don't know what your budget is but dimend scaasi has some Beverly K bands with a 25% discount on rings they have in-stock and are discontinuing. You might find something close in style and less expensive. If you get one of these bands keep in mind they cannot be sized so make sure you aren't guessing on the size.

Another option might be to call pearlmans and ask if beverly k can make that design in a 1/2 eternity design and if this is less expensive. You can often save money on eternity bands by going this route.

thank you for your suggestions. The craftsmanship on the Beverly K is exquisite and i know that i wouldn''t be able to buy something less expensive with the same work put into it. i will try and look into ebay. Thansk so much!!

Please don''t surprise her with a wedding band unless it is the exact one she picked out! It is just too important not to let her have input.

But here are a couple from Knox that she could look at:

Another idea is to get married with a plain white gold band and then save up for the one she really loves and give it to her for your first anniversary or something!
