Where is the best place to buy diamond stud Earrings? I''m looking for quality and I don''t care about price. Someone told me that the local jewelry store does not have good quality but I find that hard to believe. Thanks for your help.

If you want to buy online then you can check out the vendor list I posted in the other thread which might help. Also depending on where you are located, there might be a trusted vendor in your area which also has a brick and mortar store.

There are vendors in Houston Texas where you can make an appointment, NYC, Long Island, Idaho, Maryland, Florida, just a few off the top of my head.

Some jewellery stores like Jareds sell well cut diamonds, Hearts on Fire etc if there is a dealer near you but they are more expensive usually than online vendors, however if cost isn't a factor this could work for you.

What sized studs? What shape?

My first call would be to Brian Gavin Diamonds for any size in a round or princess.
If you want over 1.0 ctw I'd call HighperformanceDiamonds for Infinity for a round or princess.

If you want any other shape, John and Good old Gold, and Mark at Engagement Rings Direct.

And honestly, if cost is not important to you: Hearts on Fire or Tiffany or Cartier.

That might have been me that suggested that most local jeweler''s don''t use high quality stones in earrings! In fact, I''d bet on the fact that you''d have difficulty finding a well-matched pair of certified ideal cut AGS0 stones in studs in 99% of jewelry stores! I found the easiest place to match a pair was Whiteflash (their top stones are called ACA''s) and also Brian Gavin or Good Old Gold would be good places to look.
