Best metal choice for tension setting

I got engaged late last year. My engagement ring is a BGD "Blue" 1.22 ct six prong solitaire. I love rings and the simplicity of a solitaire. After getting engaged I start yearning for a right hand ring. I looked at 1 ct eternity bands, Chopard happy diamond (I have a happy diamond necklace)... Etc. Finally today it hit me that I want a tension set asscher. I dress casual for work and I don't wear dresses or skirts at all. I want something that represent "me". I want something subtle, not too feminine but with a slight bling. I'm thinking a .3 ct asscher with a 4mm tension set band. my question is: what is the best metal choice for this? I most likely will want a "brushed" look instead of a polished look.

Any ladies who own a tension set wider band as RHR or wedding band?
