General Motors joins the UN Global Compact in Brazil The company aims to make its processes and products carbon neutral by 2040. GM South America has joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative that encourages companies to adopt practices that promote sustainable growth and citizenship. GM's commitment to Brazil reinforces the company's commitment to addressing social, environmental and governance challenges in line with the company's vision for the future - GM's headquarters in Detroit has been a party to the agreement since 2015.
