Y2! How ya been? I left a note for ya in another thread because I also bought a stone from Doug/bespoke, the white topaz asscher and I was wondering how long it took you to get your acorn.
Verrrry nice! From a technical standpoint, I love packin'' facets on a stone as long as the angles are on the mark. Looks like he hit that one out of the park
I love those tension settings, wouldn''t that be an eyecatcher with that acorn-cut stone! Love to see the look on the face of a jeweler seeing that acorn-cut for the first time, LOL. I took the stone in my avatar to Oliver Smith in Scottsdale and the bench staff there thought it was da bomb, they rarely see a well cut customer sourced gem stone apparently.
Have I set anything from Tucson yet?
Uh, well, no. I seem to have the "boxes of pretties" disease at the moment and instead bought the white topaz asscher from Doug and two flawless garnet cabs from Barry.
I do have a project in the pipeline, though, that I will be sharing soon: Ammie from Dan/Cindi Stair, spessie garnet Dana/Mastercut, diamond pendant being set by Julia Kay Taylor as I type. It is a gift for my mom''s 80th birthday.
According to JKT, there may be a problem in actually GIVING it to my mom once I see it.
Sorry for threadjack, will post separate thread this weekend after I pick up the pendant in Tucson from JKT.
