Bead set question

Ive spent a lot of time researching shared prong settings, but recently discovered a bead set ring by BGD with 15 pointers. How large a stone can you set this way? Can you set a 5 stone ring with 20 pointers with bead setting? How would the security of the setting compare to shared prong? Also, is it possible to set stones of graduated sized using bead settings?

I used to own the bead set eternity band by BGD. I think it is more secure a setting since it is held in place individually and is more protected. However, I think there will be more metal and possible gaps in between the diamonds the larger you go. I would ask Lesley at BGD specifics on your questions to be exactly sure. Hope this is helpful!
