So, I am curious. What is the movie that you love the most this time of year?I totally dominate the remote on Christmas Eve making sure that TBS is on for the full 24hrs of the 'The Christmas Story'. LOL, it is sad but I can quote the entire movie. Also, a newer favorite is 'Love Actually'.

What about y'all?

I adore Love Actually.

Love Actually, but I cheat, and I watch it all year round :rodent:

Ohhhhhh! I'll have A Christmas Story playing on a loop on Sunday while we decorate and then I'll watch all 24 hours of it (great background) on Christmas. I love it sooooo much! Just hearing the opening music and seeing the window at Higbee's makes my heart flutter!

A crummy ad!

I love pretty much all Christmas movies.

I can do a top 3, couldn't possibly pick 1.

White Christmas
Elf
A Christmas Story

The Santa Clause. :appl:

Oh my top 3:

A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
Charlie Brown Christmas

Christmas Vacation!

But also:

Love, Actually
Elf
Christmas Story
Santa Clause
Home Alone
The Holiday is an xmas one too isnt it? kinda?

How could I forget 'Christmas Vacation'?!

Also, I wanted to add that after I saw 'Christmas Story' for the first time, we were living in Alaska....At recess, yeah- in the middle of winter- they made us play on the wooden structures vs. the metal ones- for obvious reason. I totally stuck my tongue on the monkey bars.

It stuck. Surprise.

They didn't call the FD, though. Just ripped me off, the savages. No cool bandage, either. My family still, rightfully, makes fun of me for that. I always tell them if they are going to judge me, just don't do it out loud.

Haha, ouch!!

For me, it's Christmas Story all the way! I love that movie:)

This is an unpopular opinion, I know, but I despise Christmas Story!

I know Christmas is here when they give It's a Wonderful Life. I adore this movie. It was my dad's favorite and we always watched it together.

I'm also really into the Christmas cartoons haha. My brothers bought me one year a 4 pack of Christmas cartoon movies. Favorite gift!

A Christmas Story is the ultimate for me! I LOVE that movie!

Merry Christmas-- $hitter was full!
I'm Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?
You'll shoot your eye out!
First thing's first: Who's Amy making out with in the ambulance?

ETA: And then he did the same thing to the other Whos' houses, leaving crumbs much too small for the other Whos' mouses.

Ah- how could I have forgotten the Grinch??

lol, davi. I always say "Francisco! That's fun to say!" My favorite scene is where he's trying to get on the escalator. OMG, I about died laughing the first time I saw it and had to rewind it a dozen times!

Grinch is one that I actually don't care for... I don't know why either!

It's a Wonderful Life
Elf
A Christmas Carol
Love, Actually
The Nightmare Before Christmas (I know it's technically a Halloween movie, but I love it!)

March of the Wooden Soldiers (Laurel and Hardy)

White Christmas

The Santa Clause 1 & 2 (did not care much for the third one)

Elf

Home Alone 1 & 2

Miracle on 34th Street (the one with Natalie Wood)

I love that movie (re: the bolded issue), but I can't watch it ever again. Too sad.

The Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman Specials!
Elf
The Santa Clause (mostly 1...but 2 and 3 if they're on and nothing else is...)
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Love, Actually
Miracle on 34th Street

I have never made it all the way through It's a Wonderful Life...or A Christmas Story...or Christmas Vacation. I fail.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! How did I forget Snoopy Christmas?!?!?!!? (Yeah, in my house it's not "A Charlie Brown Christmas" - that takes too long to say. It's Snoopy Christmas.)

Same in our house. I actually have a picture framed hanging in my house of the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window. :naughty:

I also use the quote "Fra-gee-lay. That must be Italian." any chance I get.

Snoopy Christmas, Grinch, Rudolph, and Elf. We used to watch Frosty when we were little too, tho it wasn't one of our absolute favorites like Snoopy/Grinch/Rudolph.

A Christmas Story -- Although the last couple times I watched it, I couldn't get into it as much. My husband doesn't like that movie, so I'm on my own and it's just not the same watching it by myself. My dad put the leg lamp night-light in my stocking one year. I loved it!

I also love the ones already mentioned: Frosty, Elf (although the ending is dumb), Love Actually, Charlie Brown Christmas (my husband's favorite too), and most older movies, especially Miracle on 34th Street and Christmas in Connecticut.

I know this sounds a little wrong... But I love Bad Santa! We watch it every Christmas Eve and it never fails to make me hold my sides in fits of laughter!

My best friend wrote 'Frag- eeeeee-lay' on one side and 'Must be Italian' on the other on all the boxes that we packed with and used in my last move.

Best.laugh.ever.

Also:

Only I didn't say "Fudge." I said THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word!

Tuckins-ohh Bad Santa! I haven't watched that in forever! We loved that one!

I am a Christmas Story hater. All my boys and DH love it. Of course, they also love the three stooges. Enough said.

I love Elf
It's a wonderful life
