Band for triple row pave e ring?

I recently heard that wearing a diamond wedding band could damage my triple row micro pave e-ring. Is this true for only diamond bands or would a plain platinum band damage it as well? Thanks!

Hi Joss,

To the best of my knowledge this is a concern with diamond bands as wearing two together could potentially cause chips. I am not sure with platinum, I wear a gold band against my full eternity band and after 6 years, no problems thus far. Could you post images of the rings you have in mind please? Someone else might have some good advice for you regarding your particular situation, it can be quieter here on weekends and particularly this weekend due to JCK, but I will keep an eye on this thread and try to get some helpful information for you.
