First of all, excuse my bad English.

I would like to know why the ballerina ring are always sit high on the finger. Technical? Style?

I''m in love with my ring setting but when I look at it from the side, it seem too high. The worst is it''s really difficult to find a diamond band to wear with this type of ring.

I know it''s not usual to use ballerina ring for wedding ring but I love it. At this time I have a plain white gold band and it''s not ugly but I would like to find a diamond band.

I never see a ballerina with diamond band, do you? Could you show me pics?

Here is the side view of mine:

The ballerina style ring gets its name because it resembles the fluted skirt on a ballerina. So you are correct in that the style dictates its high and stylized sides.A custom jeweler can make a cutout band that fits your ring''s shape so it fits snug up against the sides of the ring.

Your nails are wild! I love both in the pics.

Your ring is cool, I like it as a stand alone piece myself.
