First off: Thank you to the entire community for helping me with my recent purchase of an engagement ring. This site convinced me to get a "wholesaler" to accept the return of a stone, and I wound up getting a much better diamond that graded excellently with the HCA tool.
QUESTION: I'm actually working on a project and this came up... I'm wondering, roughly, how much would .11 carat (a) baguettes or (b) tapered baguettes cost loose from a retailer? For estimation-sake, let's say they were D color, VVS1 or nearly IF clarity, and best cut you could find. Can anyone ballpark how much each would cost (range)? And please don't assume any discount for purchasing all three from the same vendor. Any insight would be most appreciated. I was surprised to find that there really wasn't much information out there for me on the Internet elsewhere through my searches!
