baby sparkler in Vatche U113

I just wanted to share my engagement ring. It is a 1.001 I VS2 AGS000. We had it set in the Vatche U113 with the special PS blend 95 plat/5 ruth. The diamond was bought through Ritani. They had amazing customer service and it was the BEST price we had seen on a stone this size/stats. The diamond was sent to Vatche for setting by my local jeweler.

You're right. A full carat isn't baby-sized. It's an amazing size and looks great on her.
HOWEVER.
I think she means it as a term of endearment. I doubt she's dissing her own ring by calling it small. Heavens, she just got engaged!!.

I don't think she was dissing it either. But this place makes people think even a ct is small sometimes. Totally not the case. Looks like quite a large stunner to me

I am sorry that i was half asleep and excitement drunk, but i didn't mean baby-sized, def using it as a term of endearment...my apologies! We actually think it looks really "BIG" on my finger compared to what we thought!

Mad, as you know my online shy SO took a lot of convincing to go the online route in the first place. We did not look at ALL the vendors, so this may not be the perfect comparison of prices - but for what we were looking for, it was the best price. We looked at Blue Nile, Ritani, GOG (since its technically driving distance for us) and WF for AGS0 stones. We were originally looking .9-.99ct to save ourself from the ct price jump. I was on Ritani just putting around and i saw not one but 2 stones that were in our range. This one was $5707, the other was maybe 6200? I don't remember now. I immediately put them both on reserve and made an appt with ritani for a gemologist consult and pics/video. It ended up that the more expensive one was sold right after we put on reserve, so the gemologist pulled 2 other stones that were similar price/specs. She recommended the AGS one as being the sparkliest, brightest and no inclusions. The other two were GIA graded, which was fine - but i didn't feel comfortable buying those without idealscope, etc, and they weren't recommended anywho. We decided to take the chance on the AGS0 one knowing we could just return it if we didn't like it. It ended up being a stunner! We were thoroughly impressed with the cust service and we couldn't beat the price. They were having a tax free sale so all in total it was $5707! In our eyes it was a pretty good deal! bigger than we expected and still the quality i craved!
