B&M loose diamond sellers in DC metro?

Can anyone recommend a B&M loose diamond seller or two in DC or NoVA? I plan on buying online, but I need to keep my options open and see some stones in person as well to aid in this process. Any recommendations appreciated.

The only B&M store I tried in the area was Washington Diamond (http://www.washingtondiamond.com/). They are by appointment only and were very helpful to me... I learned quite a bit. As far as prices go, my appraiser (Martin Fuller and Associates) said that they consistently have the best prices in the area, and it seemed like they respected the way Washington Diamond does business. Unfortunately, I got a bigger, BETTER stone for over $1000 cheaper by shopping on the internet.

The appraiser said that Mervis used to be pretty good until they built their store in Tysons, but now they are priced just like all the others (Zales,etc).

Hey Duane, DirtCheapDiamonds is located in Frederick MD. That's only about a 45 min ride from DC. It's worth the trip. Check out their website.
