AVR L VVS2 set

So after being married MANY years I decided last year that I wanted an upgrade to my ring. Stumbled upon PS. Tried to educate myself. A little education can be a dangerous thing. Found a setting that I loved but couldn't find a diamond that I loved. Had my old diamond set into the new setting. I know-backwards. The new setting needed a new diamond but I couldn't find anything I liked. I looked online and in stores-A LOT. It was then that I realized I loved old cuts. But finding an old cut was difficult.. Wonky, too much $$$ or wrong size for my setting. Finally I found an AVR on GOG. Had it sent out and determined it was just what I wanted. AVR L VVS2 1.01 ct. Life has been busy but I finally had it set. I love it.First picture is before with my ungraded most likely J-K VS2 .78 ct. Setting is hand engraved. Finger size 5.25.

Thanks. I looked at lots of settings. Was going to have something made. Changed my mind about a dozen times. Wanted a low profile but wanted details like a surprise diamond and milgrain.I wear my ring ALL the time but I am being a little better about taking it off if I am doing work around the house. I saw this setting and for me it was perfect. It's 18 kt white gold and it's a Kirk Kara from the Carmella collection.It was the display setting so it worked out budget wise.I know I did everything backwards but the diamond is perfect for the setting. I had the old setting/diamond for over 25 years and I don't think I'll be upgrading again for another 25 years. The size is perfect for my lifestyle. My hands are a mess. I've been painting and staining and I pitted 40 pounds of cherries (did not wear the ring). Maybe more pictures after the hands get a little tlc.
