Hi all,

I've been on the search for my first pair of oec studs (or possibly dangles). I'm considering earrings that already exist, buying loose stones, converting a ring Whatever helps get the best deal. Ive seen some members here do some amazing things with amazing finds (though they are more experienced than I am). What is the average cost for a pair of oec studs around half a carat, g color, SI clarity? What about for one carat studs (same stats)? Thanks for any help you can provide!

I would keep an eye on Jewels by Grace. She sometimes has pairs that are reasonably priced. Or better yet, email or call her and tell her what you're looking for and a budget. She may be able to find something. I checked and right now, she does not seem to have anything. Or check out her earring sets that already have been made.

I don't know the answer to your question, about the pricing of a pair of G's. You can't just order them up. If you happen across a pair, or if a trusted can find you a pair, then you're good. Or the specs that you want with a nice facet pattern may just not be out there. Vintage stones are tricky like that.

Thanks for your reply. I checked out Jewels By Grace and she definitely has some beautiful pieces!

You can also reach out to Adam at Oldworlddiamonds to see if he can put together a pair.
You can check the website ahead of a call to get a general idea of what diamonds in you spec range go for. The website doesn’t have pictures for all stones, but at least you can get a sense for pricing.
