Hi All

I've been going through older posts on GOG AVCs since I came across this cut a few months ago. I finally decided to take the plunge and go for what appears to be a great stone. I'm a little nervous about the K color. Prior to find the AVCs I was in search of a G/H cushion cut. I haven't seen the AVCs in person.

Any advice on how risky it is to order it loose or have GOG help find a setting?

Here are a couple pics David at GOG has sent to me. You all seem very passionate about the AVC and experienced so I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks in advance!

If you're not sure about the color, get it loose first. If you like it, then I'd see if GOG could come up with a setting you like.

Excellent advice from Andelain.

Many PSers get their diamonds loose first, evaluate them, and decide on a setting only after seeing the diamond in person. If you get it loose, I'm sure GOG will include a ring-shaped gemstone holder that you can use to approximate what the diamond would look like on your hand. It won't be exactly like a setting because the gemstone holder is very big and holds the diamond very high off your hand. But you should be able to see what the color looks like in different lighting situations, and how you like it.

This.

I'm sure the stone won't disappoint, but it will also help you choose the right setting the first go.

That diamond is stunning!
