August Vintage Oval or Jannpaul Oval 8/Nova for solitaire

Hi there- I am wondering if anyone can provide insight on the AV Oval and JP Oval 8 or JP Oval Nova. With the size of stone being equal, which is ideal for a solitaire engagement ring? I have done some digging on pricescope and found that DG/AV and JP lab ovals were the most popular among this community, but I have not seen them compared side-by-side.

Just to clarify, the Nova is not oval more an octagon.

For an engagement ring, I’d try to find out her preferred length-to-width ratio. The AV is longer while the JP is broader. That’s a matter of taste. In terms of cut, they are diffeeent, but the most striking different is the overall shape. Both will have superb light return.

The Nova is a completely different animal. Beautiful, but not an oval.

Agree with @0515vision on defining preference. To start off with, what kind of cut pattern do you like? The chunky pattern of the AV is very nice (reminds me of round OEC) and of course the JP oval is amazing.
