I posted here a couple of months ago. I had a ring custom-made that turned out truly horrible. You can see the old thread here:

Had to wait a couple of months for the jeweler to come back from vacation, then a few more weeks for the ring to be remade, but it's finally done and I think it looks much better. Not quite perfect but a huge improvement from what it was, I think. What do you guys think?

Another one. It's a right-hand ring, so I won't be wearing it with my band.

Alene, your ring is very pretty. :appl:

Yes it is a huge improvement now that the prongs aren't so dominant, your perseverance has paid off and it looks great.

That is so much better and the stone is amazing. I would have cried if I had received the original ring. I just don't know how they could send it out the door like that.

I really like the profile.

It looks wonderful!

It looks much better, alene! I love the color and cut of the stone, too.

Glad they fixed the prongs for you, it's lovely.

Beautiful, Alene. Now the stone grabs the eye. I let out a big sigh of admiration on opening your post. The previous version looks like it was made by an unskilled first-timer! Big improvement.

Glad they fixed it up for you-it looks much better!

MUCH better the second time around, enjoy!!

It looks very well. I like the shank. Really interesting.

Thanks guys! I still don't understand what happened the first time since there's only one jeweler/owner in the store whose work I usually like a lot. I"m just really relieved that he was able to fix it, I really enjoy the ring now.

Much improved! Enjoy your lovely asscher!

I am relieved and glad the your jeweller fixed it to your satisfaction although I have to admit that the u shaped prongs have grown on me somewhat.

Much better! You can actually appreciate the stone now instead of looking at paperclips holding each corner like before.
Nice re-do.
