Ok, so I found this .75 Asscher for around $1800 and I was wondering if you thought it was a good deal or not.

Not necessarily asking if it is near perfect, I know it''s not, and I''m not really a D IF kinda girl anyway

, just if it is a good deal for the money and if you think it will look pretty good. It is Gia certified, and I don''t have any other info other than this for now. I am waiting back for another photo that is not as dark. I feel like it is a good deal from what I have researched so far, but there is still SO much I don''t know (or understand!)

Thank you for your help!

0.75 carat Asscher rated as Ideal cut
5.11X5.07X3.31 mm
Color: G (I like F color, so I am assuming I will like G as well)
Clarity: VS2
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Table: 60%
Depth: 65.3%
Girdle: Med to Thick (I know, not the best)
Florescence: none

ouch that picture looks bad.
Can you get an IS or ASET image so we can see if it is just the picture or the diamond?

Karl can you say what looks bad about it?
To me it looks dark and not even - but it looks like the stone was not on axis either in the pic.

Is that it or is there more?

Dark
Could just be the photo could be obstruction issues with the diamond.

Thank you! They are working on getting me another photo that is not as dark now, but I will try to get the ASET image as well.
I will post them as soon as I get them.

Just an update that I am back to drooling over RB''s for a tension setting. I seem to keep going back to the tensions, so pursuing that again. So many choices.

And FYI, the ASET was not very good for this asscher. I''ll still post it later if you are interested, but I''m pretty sure that I won''t get an asscher diamond for my e-ring. Maybe in a sapphire or some other stone for a RHR though... but not for awhile!
