Hi there,
Quick question; can an ASET/idealscope be done after a diamond is already set in a ring? Thanks!!

Thank you! Is there any reduction in accuracy?

No. It will be the same. The only image you would not be able to get when the stone is mounted are hearts images as those are only done by the stone being upside down.

It depends.
In most cases, the shank and basket will at least partially block the backlight. And you cannot assess any area, especially the edges, covered by prongs/claws or bezel setting.

But generally, there should not be any significant issue.

ASET is easier to use on mounted stones than IS and works better without a back light.
