If a diamond has Hearts symmetry it's only viewable from the back side. With a little work, you can get arrow shots of the front side. There are some tips in here for it:

You will see the arrows. You won't be able to see the hearts as they are viewed from the bottom.

yes. partially using a hearts and arrows viewer that you can get for less than $10 on ebay. the hearts patterning can't be seen.

Yes, you can see the arrows but you don't need to buy a viewer. I can see arrows in my earrings with a naked eye. If you follow the tips in the post bastetcat linked up, you can also take a decent pic showing arrows. I set up the shot using paper towels.
