Are these table/depth percentages too high?

I thought I''d found the perfect PRINCESS cut diamond, but now I''m thinking the depth and table might be out of range. Also, is G a good enough color, meaning will it look colorless to the unaided eye?

1.36ct
Premium cut
Color: G
Clarity: VVS2
Measurements: 6.00x5.98x4.52mm
Depth: 75.6%
Table: 74%
Girdle: thin
Culet: none
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Flourescence: None

THANKS!

Personally, I find the table too large, but what really concerns me is the depth. For one, you''ll be paying for a diamond that faces up pretty small.

Thanks for the quick response. What are the maximums that you would accept for depth and table? I see ranges on the internet that are all over the place. Also, is there a huge difference going from VVS2 to VS1 and from F to G? I''m going to have to make some trade-offs somewhere. Thanks again.

Go read Paul Slegers'' excellent article currently pinned to the top of the Rocky Talky. It addresses the very issues that you are concerned about.

Princess cuts tend to run a little deep (or not really, as Paul explains), and a 75% depth is pretty normal.

Often times when the table is the same or smaller than the depth it portends a good optical performance. Not always, but often.

"G" color is excellent, and will face up nice and white when mounted.

I see no reason not to give this stone a chance. Your visual inspection will tell you right away if it''s a winner or not.

Rich...Thanks!
