Let me start off by saying that I know better than to buy a diamond ring from the mall. But. These stones are gorgeous. They really are. I bought this ring from the clearance case of Kevin jewelers. I asked the sales guy if it was an estate piece. He said that they don’t sell estate pieces. But I asked about how it is thinned out due to sizing. He said no. New piece. Ok. I love the stones. It was sold as a .75 tcw but according to my calipers, its more like a .90. Then I notice that there seems to be traces of sizing. Ugh. Did he lie? Then I focus on the prongs. Are they worn down or Is that ty style? I have a 7 day exchange policy and he said no refunds but if he lied about it, I’m sure I can get a refund. I only want a refund if the prongs are so worn out that it doesn’t justify keeping the ring.
I paid 650 out the door. And stones are Uncertified but sold as G-h si2. Comparing to my ering, I think that’s accurate.
What would you do?
