Hi guys,

I am looking for a pair of earrings for daily wear and I have been shown (on paper only) these diamonds?

0.43 FVS1 GIA Certed 4.81-4.85 X 2.98mm
Culet: None
Table: 58%
Depth: 61.7%
Crown Angle: 33.5%
Pav Angle: 41%

0.43 FVS1 GIA Certed 4.81-4.84 X 2.98mm
Culet: None
Table: 58%
Depth: 61.8%
Crown Angle: 33.5%
Pav Angle: 41%

Both scored 1.3 TIC on the HCA and falls within AGS 0 and GIA Excellent Cut range.

My question is (I know it is a TIC) whether these diamonds tend towards being more brilliant than firey or is this more firey than brilliant. Am I making sense?
Thank you for any comments.

The proportions suggest these diamonds will tend to be more brilliant than fiery, does that help?

Hi Lorelei, thank you, yes it is helpful. Given that it is a TIC, it should still have a fair amount of fire, you''d reckon?

You should see some fire if the lighting is right, can you ask the vendor to check them out for you to give you an idea of the personality? That might give you some reassurance!

Ditto. Were you wanting really firey stones?

Hi Ellen, I would prefer firey stones but not too dark. I don''t mind a TIC that tends to be more firey than brilliant, kwim? I''d like a pair of diamonds that glitter colours on my ears.

Fire is only seen when the lighting is right as you probably know, I would ask the vendor to look at these and see how they stack up in the fire department, TIC''s should be a nice balance for earrings so ask the vendor to take a looksie and explain what you are looking for.

Hi! A higher crown angle, especially coupled with a table around 54ish would be more firey. I don''t know how long you want to look, but if you''ve got some time, you might have your jeweler keep looking. If you can''t find something like that, even a TIC with a crown angle between 34-35 with complimentary PA should work!

Hi Lorelei and Ellen,

Thanks for your help. I think I will look for a TIC that is more firey than to look for a FIC -- I think it will be hard to find a matching pair of FIC. I''ll get this pair checked out, I have looked at almost 10 pairs on paper and I didn;t know it''s so hard to get a good pair of matching earrings!

Sounds like a plan, you will have bootiful sparkly ears!!

Hi Ladies,

I reckon this looks better on paper in the fire department?

55.33% Table, 61.68% Depth, Crown 34.5, Pavilion 40.75 - 1.3 TIC
and
55.28% Table, 61.28% Depth, Crown 34.41, Pavilion 40.77 - 1.2 TIC

SS, I would not worry too much about fire, as these are earrings. Just get nice, well-cut stones.

Those should be loverly.

And I''d have to politely disagree with julie. I think a nice, firey diamond is just as important on the ear, neck, finger, where ever! I had studs toward the brilliant side, and now own ACA''s. There''s a world of (beautiful) difference.

simply, I forgot to ask, what are the diameter measurements on those?

Hi Ellen,

Thank you! They are both 0.44GVS2 and they are 4.89-4.91 X 3.02 and 4.89-4.92 X 3.01.

Well they don't get any more perfect than that!

These are going to be gorgeous, and a great size too!

And you are welcome!
