Hi all,

I am looking a buying a square radiant and was wondering if polish and symmetry are important factors to consider? Will they make a significant difference to the brillance of the stone? I''d appreciate any feedback.

Hi there. There have been at least two other questions on polish and symmetry in the past week that can probably answer your question better than I could. It's certainly an interesting consideration.

Hmmm Where to start?

You are buying a radiant because you like the shattered glass effect, not because of brilliance (or you would buy a Queen of Hearts (same shape but square) a regent cut or a round).

Symmetry is far more important in an emerald cut, so Good or better should be fine.
Polish : Boss of a major lab told me he can not pick difference between good and Ideal with naked eye.
